![]() How One Young Changemaker seeks to bring Local Sustainability to the Global Stage Prince Sobere George, vice chair of the Friends of the Saskatoon Afforestation Areas, is preparing and making plans to bring a powerful message of grassroots sustainability to the world stage at the United Nations Environment Assembly in Nairobi this December. From his roots in Nigeria's Niger Delta to community work in Saskatoon, Prince has turned lived experience into leadership-advancing circular fashion, waste reduction, and urban forest conservation. His efforts have already reached thousands, and now he's inviting you to be part of something bigger. Support his vision to journey to UNEA-7, where he is planning to represent communities working toward environmental justice and launch an international webinar series that highlights citizen science, climate education, and Indigenous land-based learning. Your donation helps cover travel, outreach materials, and virtual engagement. His team is working together on a global webinar series. Together, we can elevate real-world solutions and ensure they are heard where global decisions are made. Canada Helps or via Zeffy or Read More |
"The simple act of planting a tree, which is in itself a practical deed, is also the symbol of a far reaching ideal, which is creative in the realm of the Spirit, and in turn reacts upon society, encouraging all to work for the future well being of humanity rather than for immdiate gain."
